FREE ESTIMATES

IMPORTANT: The price ranges listed below are purely estimates. We will do our best to keep the price of our services within the provided range, however the amount of labor needed can vary, sometimes significantly, between services. For example, a firearm with a few tiny spots of rust on a slide will require less labor than a firearm that is totally coated in rust, externally AND internally. If a service ends up requiring more work than what was originally quoted, the customer will be made aware and be given as many details as possible to the job in question.

Minimum Service Charge: $60

  • For very basic services that take less than an hour.

Deep Clean:

  • Total firearm disassembly, any and all parts that can come apart, will come apart. This includes sights/scopes/red dots ONLY if absolutely necessary to ensure proper cleaning. Any optics that are removed will be properly reinstalled upon completion, and the customer will be made aware that they might need to re-zero.

  • Parts are dropped in an ultrasonic cleaner if needed. Afterwards, each and every part gets hand-detailed, dried, and re-oiled with fresh lube before being reassembled and function checked.
  • This service does not include rust removal.

Repair Service:

The firearm’s issue or malfunction is evaluated and a repair is done. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what exact repair needs to be done, especially with many older firearms/models that do not have manuals or any existing media on the firearm’s function. The customer is notified if any replacement parts are needed, and will be given a cost estimate or the part. Some repairs require a complete disassembly and reassembly, sometimes multiple times over.
  • Price depends on the nature of the repair needed, ie; welding, soldering, filing, fitting, etc. Proper function test upon completion of the repair is included.

Kit or Parts Fitting/Install:

  • Price depends on the nature of the kit or part, some kits/parts require fine-tuning or fitting and are not always drop-in. This requires a high level of attention to detail and understanding of many firearm’s mechanisms in order to properly ensure function.

  • This service includes aftermarket trigger kits, rifle/shotgun parts kits, safety/decocker kits, or any sort of aftermarket/factory kit or part meant to improve function of a firearm. Function test included.

Trigger Job, any Striker-Fired Pistol:

Striker sear, trigger bar, disconnector, safety plunger, and any other parts that physically interact with the trigger mechanism are brought to a high polish using hand polishing and wheel polishing techniques. This service noticeably smoothens the long, slow trigger pull of the striker-fired firearm. Function test included.

Trigger Job, any DA/SA or SA Pistol or Revolver:
  • Price depends on the gun, some DA/SA or SA guns require significantly more work than others.
  • Involves high polishing any and all parts and contact points that interact with the trigger, sear, hammer, and hammer springs, re-angling and stoning sears/hammer sears if need be, and includes testing of trigger and sears for fit and safety. This service significantly improves the single action trigger break, and noticeably smoothens out the double action pull of the firearm. This service takes many hours of labor, skill, and attention to detail. Function test included.

Trigger Job, any 1-Stage or 2-Stage Triggers:
  • This service can be done to the majority of rifles and shotguns on the market.
  • Involves high polishing any and all parts and contact points that interact with the trigger, sear, hammer, and hammer springs, re-angling and stoning sears/hammer sears if need be, and includes testing of trigger and sears for fit and safety. This service makes the 2nd Stage break significantly crisper, and for 1st Stage triggers, creates a much smoother trigger pull. Function test included.

Handgun Barrel Lockup Job:
  • There are some companies that make already oversized barrels that come with an oversized barrel hood and locking lug. This service can be done to factory OEM barrels, but will require welding to be made oversized. We do not yet offer barrel welding. The process of this service takes quite a bit of time, in order to ensure that as the barrel gets fit, the proper dimensions and angles of the functional surfaces remain true.
  • This service involves fitting the barrel hood, and barrel locking lug. Done properly, the barrel that is used in the service is perfectly mated to the slide and frame, allowing absolutely zero barrel movement while in battery, improving mechanical accuracy and consistency.

High Polishing: $95/hour; final time is rounded up to the nearest half hour.
  • High polishing parts for function or aesthetics, slides, frames, grips, bolts/bolt carriers, feed ramps, slide rails/frame rails, shell carriers, steel magazines bodies, etc. Includes re-oiling before reassembly. Polishing can only be done to steel parts.
  • This service is done with very traditional methods of hand polishing, starting with a rough grit sandpaper and leading up to very fine grit, and finally finishing off the parts with a buffing wheel polish. Depending on the customer’s wishes, this polish can be done as high as a near-mirror finish.

Advanced Function Test:
  • Function test of the firearm, including any and all manual safeties, feeding and ejection, magazine release, loaded chamber indicator (if applicable), trigger and trigger reset, and anything else to ensure proper function. Includes firing pin test; firing pin test involves firing off a primed casing, to test if the firearm is capable of reliably setting off a primer. This is done to ensure the firearm will not light strike.

Test Fire:
  • The firearm is taken to a range and tested with live fire. If there are any issues discovered by test fire, the customer will be called with an estimated repair cost, and asked if they would like us to continue with the repair. The price of a test fire will not stack if the same firearm needs to be test fired multiple times. Customers will also be notified of any other quirks or issues the firearm may have, ie; sluggish action, weak ejection, weird noises or loose parts, etc.

Rust Removal: cost will depends on the severity of the rust. Free estimate.
  • It is important that the customer is made aware of the fact that we do not offer metal refinishing, and that our rust removal process does not mean total restoration. Only the rust is removed, which may mean that the original finish of the firearm will not be the same after the process. Especially if the rust has eaten away some of the original finish. The rust however, will be gone.
  • This service is similar to a deep clean. The firearm is fully disassembled, and all of the rust-affected parts are soaked in rust remover overnight. Every rust-affected part is then hand brushed or taken to a carding wheel. Parts are then dried, re oiled, reassembled, and function checked.

Slide Milling for Red Dot Optic:

  • Some optic cuts or adaptor cuts are more complex than others, and some require the modifying of one or more extra parts, hence the range of high and low prices. If a price quote is needed, a gunsmith will evaluate the cut that the customer is asking for.
  • Customer must include the optic, adaptor plate, or both, so that milling may be custom fit to the optic/plate. This service includes proper mounting of provided optic. (Loctite, optic screws torqued to spec, etc.)

Scope and Scope Mount Install:
  • Involves alignment of the rings, mount, and scope. Scope is perfectly leveled and trued  to the receiver using a scope mounting jig.
  • Lap scope rings if required. Most modern scope rings are already built true and won't require lapping, however most older steel or aluminum scope rings will most definitely benefit from this service. A special lapping tool is used to reshape the current rings to perfectly fit the customer’s scope, ensuring the scope is mounted straight and true.
  • Bore sight scope for 100 yards. That will get the customer on paper for their own zeroing.

Recoil Pad Fit and Install:

  • Involves grinding recoil pad using a recoil pad jig in order to obtain a perfectly custom fit to the provided stock. The contour that the recoil pad is ground to is measured and matched to the contour of the provided stock.

Glass Bedding:

  • The customer’s stock receives a bedding of epoxy in order to match the fit of the receiver and receiver lug to the stock. Any excess epoxy is then removed, blended, and made to look pretty. This service tightens up receiver to stock fitment, removes any excess or empty space between the stock and receiver, and ensures consistent accuracy during shooting.

Pillar Bedding for wood stock:
  • Two holes are drilled into the customer’s stock, and two aluminum pillars are press fit and installed into the stock where the receiver screws are located. The stock then receives a glass bedding service over the newly installed pillars. The metal pillars ensure that the wood stock will never crack under the pressure of recoil, especially for larger caliber/larger bore rifles.

Wood Stock Refinishing:

  • The stock is sanded down, and a new layer of stain is applied thoroughly on the stock. Price depends on how many layers of stain the customer wants. The more layers of stain, the darker the final color. The stock is then finished with a coating of tru-oil. Each new layer of stain has to be left to dry overnight before a new layer can be applied.

Rush Charge: $150
  • The customer’s work becomes the number one priority. Either one of the on-site gunsmiths will drop ANY job they are currently doing to begin the work on the customer’s firearm. If a customer chooses the rush charge, a gunsmith will need to come out and evaluate the work. Depending on the job, it could be completed anywhere between one day to a week. If parts need to be ordered, the rush charge fee will be waived, as we cannot guarantee the parts for the service will arrive within a week’s time.
